Taggart Tip #12 – Having the Right Strategy and Pit Crew in Place

Have you got the pit crew & strategy in place to drive growth & profitability?

Taggart: “G’day; time for another Taggart tip.

Awesome — I’m here at the Norwell Motorplex and I’ve just
taken a hot lap with Craig Lowndes in a finely tuned v8 supercar.

At 7000rpm, 640 brake horsepower, and 298 kilometres an hour; the adrenaline is absolutely pumping.

I suddenly realize it’s not just about having the best driver in the competition. It’s as equally important to have the right pit crew and management team, to understand the vehicle data, the telemetry, and to choose a strategy that’s going to achieve peak performance
and the winning results.

That is exactly like a small business! So, here’s my tip of the day.

Take a look under the hood of your business; review the profit & loss and balance sheet monthly to really understand the numbers, make sure you surround yourself with a winning team (your business pit crew) and last but not least, design an action strategy that is going to drive you and drive your business towards achieving future growth and increased profitability.

That’s my tip for the day.”
